Training of Trainers for Wetland Management Planning

Training of Trainers for Wetland Management Planning Project was implemented with the aim of training trainers who will provide training throughout Turkey during the preparation of wetland management plans between January 2006 and August 2006.

Within the scope of the project supported by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality;

• The curriculum of the “Training Trainers for International Wetland Management Planning” course implemented by Vageningen International was adapted for “Training Trainers for Wetland Management Planning in Turkey” by Turkish and Dutch experts.
• “Trainer Training for Wetland Management Planning” was given to the relevant public institutions and non-governmental organizations and to fourteen trainer candidates from METU Biology Department by Dutch and Turkish trainers.
• Trainer candidates who completed the “Trainer Training Course” gave lectures of “Wetland Management Planning” to the representatives of the institutions that were expected to participate in the management planning process of Konya wetlands under the guidance of their trainers.
