Bird Count and Evaluation of the 2018 Breeding Period of Nallıhan Davutoğlan Bird Sanctuary Wildlife Improvement Area

This project was carried out by the Nature Research Association on behalf of the 9th Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, Ankara Branch Office of the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs (currently the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry).
The aim of the study was to determine the bird species and their populations breeding in Nallıhan Davutoğlan Wildlife Improvement Area; especially to conduct studies on balancing the recently increased cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) population, to evaluate the effects of cormorant population on other bird species and habitats and to monitor the quality and level of water.
