Göksu Delta Purple Gallinule Conservation and Monitoring (2008)

The Göksu Delta Purple Gallinule Conservation and Monitoring Project, which was implemented to determine the threats to and population of the purple gallinule species (Porphyrio porphyrio), which is known to breed in the Göksu Delta, was carried out between April 2008 and June 2008.

The project was carried out in the Göksu Delta, which is one of the few known breeding areas of the purple gallinule species in Turkey. It was the first study on the population of these species in the Göksu Delta, which are known to breed around 1000 pairs around Kızılırmak Delta area.
